Helix Micro-Rebar is a 3 dimensional concrete reinforcement technology that increases shear strength, durability and ductility, while providing industry leading pre-crack capabilities. It is made of twisted steel and electroplated with zinc. It can be used for both primary and secondary reinforcement, replacing conventional rebar and mesh, while being fully code compliant.

The Helix Micro-Rebar product & design methodology have been tested and approved to comply with both U.S. & International standards. It is the ONLY fully approved alternative concrete reinforcement product in the world with a Uniform Evaluation Service Report (UES) in accordance with the International Building Code (IBC) and the International Residential Code (IRC).

Helix ELIMINATES rebar congestion on site and at your facility. It is made of high quality steel and contains more than 11,500 reinforcement pieces per pound. The pieces are mixed throughout 100% of the concrete section, transforming the concrete from it's brittle nature to a more ductile, flexible material. This results in increased strength, durability, crack control, rust mitigation and improved cost.



Helix comes in 45 lb. stackable boxes and skidded at 48 boxes per skid. Each pallet is also polybagged to protect it from the elements. Pallets and individual boxes require minimal space on site or at your facility. Helix does not need to be prepped prior to use and it works with the concrete to improve it's performance.



Uses for Helix



Helix can be used in most types of concrete work in place of temperature and shrinkage steel. Uniquely, Helix 5-25 can replace structural steel in an almost unlimited variety of reinforced .concrete sections. Ask us about your next project.



Mixing/dosing Helix



Depending on customer needs, the amount of Helix required usually ranges from 5 to 30 pounds per cubic yard. Once the dosage is calculated, Helix is added to the truck and thoroughly mixed. At this point, Helix has reached 100% distribution. Dosing techniques do vary based on batch plant type. Ask us for specific details.
